Educational Matinee Program
The College of Creative Arts is offering a series of weekday matinee performances, open to all grades and ages from public schools, private schools and homeschool groups. The performances provide an opportunity to enhance school curriculum and to expose students to the arts. Performances start at 10 a.m. and are typically 75 minutes in length without intermission.
The 2023-2024 matinee offerings include:
Monday, 11/6/23, 10:00am: Percussion Ensemble
Friday, 12/1/23, 10:00am: Choirs
Friday, 2/2/24, 10:00am: Dance Now!
Tuesday, 4/23/24, 10:00am: Wind Symphony
Tickets to these performances are $2 for each attendee. All attendees, including chaperones and drivers that wish to enter the theatre must have a ticket.
Ticket and Bus Subsidies
Through the generous support of the Bainum Foundation, all groups attending a
Creativity Academy performance this fall are eligible to apply for a subsidy up
to the full cost of the tickets. Additionally, groups attending by bus may apply
for reimbursement of bus expenses up to the full amount. Groups arriving by personal
vehicle are not eligible for transportation subsidies, but may still apply for
ticket subsidies.
Pending available funding, subsidies will continue to be offered in the spring as well.
