Professional Development Grants

The CCA Faculty/Staff Professional Grant program was created to support activities that lead to professional development, travel, and community engagement for faculty/staff in the College of Creative Arts. CCA faculty applying for support of professional development for non-juried activities (ie. attending a conference or workshop) are eligible for one $350 award during the 23/24 academic year, as funding remains available. Applications will be assessed on the activity's significance; faculty rank (with priority given to those in early career ranks); expected outcomes; and historically positive outcomes. Staff are eligible for the Professional Development Grant on a case-by-case basis. Applications must be submitted in advance of the activity. Applications will be reviewed on Sept. 15; Oct. 15; Dec. 15; Jan. 15; Feb. 15; March 15; and April 1, with award notices made shortly thereafter, subject to availability of funding. The final application deadline is April 1, 2024. Faculty/Staff applying for funding to support a juried/invited/accepted presentation or performance should apply for a CCA Faculty Research and Creative Activity Grant ($500/$750) at this link.

Only one application for a CCA Faculty/Staff Professional Grant will be funded for any individual during a given academic year.
