WVU School of Music composition applicants should provide the following prior to their interview:
- Two to three pieces that you have written. Recordings are strongly encouraged (they can be midi realizations or recorded performances). All styles are acceptable. We recommend that the pieces contrast in their instrumentation (i.e. if you have one piece for solo piano, try to include a piece that has different instruments).
- A brief ear training exercise may be administered at the interview.
