Visit Us

The best way to learn if the WVU College of Creative Arts is a good fit for you is to visit campus. 

Spend time observing or participating in a class or rehearsal. Take the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the faculty from your program and ask questions about the audition or portfolio review process. Music students and students in our musical theatre program are welcome to meet with faculty for a complimentary lesson. Receive complimentary show tickets for you and your family to see the final product of our student and faculty work.

Driving Directions 

Driving directions from North/South on I-79

  • Take exit 155, which is noted as West Virginia University
  • From North: At bottom of exit ramp, turn left onto U.S. Route 19
  • From South: Beat right at bottom of exit ramp, lane turns into U.S. route 19
  • Follow U.S. Route 19 South
  • From South: Bear right at bottom of exit ramp, lane turns into U.S. Route 19
  • Follow U.S. Route 19 South
  • Proceed to the fifth traffic light (Light following WVU Coliseum light)
  • At the fifth traffic light, turn left onto Evansdale Drive
  • Make immediate left into main Loulie, Valerie and William Canady Creative Arts Center parking lot

Driving directions from I-68

  • From I-68 merge right onto I-79 N following signs to Washington, PA
  • Take exit 155, which is noted as West Virginia University
  • Proceed right at bottom of exit ramp, lane turns into U.S. route 19
  • Follow U.S. route 19 South
  • Proceed to the fifth traffic light (light following WVU coliseum light)
  • At the fifth traffic light, turn left onto Evansdale Drive
  • Make immediate left into main Loulie, Valerie and William Canady Creative Arts Center parking lot

Parking

Parking at the Canady Creative Arts Center visitors is in Lot 45. This is the large parking lot, located directly in front of the building on the side facing Evansdale Drive. A parking permit is required if you are visiting the CCAC between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you are visiting during these hours, please see James Froemel in room 301A for a parking permit. If you are entering from the main entrance, Room 301A is located next to the right of the Mesaros Art Galleries in the Blaney Lobby close to the Creative Arts Box Office.

If you are visiting on a weekend or after 5 p.m., no parking permit is required.
