Educational Matinee Program
The WVU School of Music is offering a series of weekday matinee performances, open to all grades and ages from public schools, private schools and homeschool groups. The performances provide an opportunity to enhance school curriculum and to expose students to the arts. Performances start at 10 a.m. and are typically 75 minutes in length without intermission.

How to register
While both student and chaperone tickets are free, all attendees must have a reserved seat.
As funding permits, bus subsidies are awarded on a case-by-case basis to school groups demonstrating financial need. Awards may be granted up to 100% of costs. Every effort will be made to offer an initial subsidy response within two weeks of submission, which may include placement on a funding wait-list. All final decisions about subsidy awards will be made at least three months prior to attendance.
You will be contacted to confirm that your spot is reserved. Separate contact will be made regarding any subsidy requests once review of that portion of the application is complete.
Supplemental educational materials
Supplemental study materials with curriculum tie-ins specific to each concert will be made available to schools with suggestions for in-class discussions and ideas to engage cross-curricular educational partners.
