Arts Entrepreneurship Minor
Entrepreneurial artists are the drivers of their own careers. The Arts Entrepreneurship Minor at West Virginia University aims to provide a foundation for students interested in professionally participating and working in the arts.
With courses offered in visual arts, theatre, dance, music, entrepreneurship and business, students will experience a curriculum that helps develop skills and strategies for designing, building and sustaining arts-related businesses. Students will study in courses that explore the creative process, general principals of arts management (including revenue sources, business models and competition), basic accounting, and professional skills involving production, communication and promotion related to their chosen field. With its diverse curriculum, the student community enrolled in this minor will experience a powerful cross-pollination of arts disciplines.
The Arts Entrepreneurship minor will serve all undergraduate students at WVU.
