Sandra Schwartz, Ph.D. currently serves as Associate Dean of the College of Creative Arts.

Sandra Schwartz serves as Associate Dean in the College of Creative Arts. She previously served the School of Music as Interim Director and for the five years prior she was Associate Director and Director of Undergraduate Studies.

Dr. Schwartz is Professor of Music Education, and has taught courses such as Choral Methods, Voice Class, Vocal Pedagogy, and Introduction to Music Education at the undergraduate level, and Foundations of Music Education, Psychology of Music, Advanced Choral Methods, and Introduction to Research in Music Education at the graduate level. She has presented papers and workshops at many state, regional, and national conferences, and she is actively involved with NASM, the National Association of Schools of Music.

Prior to joining the WVU music faculty in 2006, Dr. Schwartz earned a Ph.D. in Music Education from the Frost School of Music at University of Miami. She also earned an M.M. in Choral Conducting and B.M. in Music Education from the University of Miami.
