School of Music harp applicants should be prepared to present the following at their audition:
- One standard orchestral excerpt such as Tchaikovsky - "Waltz of the Flowers" cadenza; Britten - Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra cadenza; Rimsky-Korsakov - Capriccio Espanol cadenza; Berlioz - Symphony Fantastique (beg. to 22); Stravinsky - Firebird
- Two contrasting works from the standard harp repertoire. Pieces can be entire works or individual movements from a sonata, concerto, or suite. You may choose one of the pieces below or choose your own:
- Debussy - First Arabesque; Claire de Lune, Danses Sacrée et Profane
- Salzedo - Suite of Eight Dances; Chanson dans la Nuit
- Haydn/Salzedo - Variations on a Theme of Haydn
- Handel - Concerto in B-flat Major
- Bach/Grandjany Etudes for Harp
- Natra - Prayer
